I must have been exceptionally tired not to notice the presidential connection in there, and the innuendo. We normally stay away from that, I apologize if anyone was offended. The bulk of the video does make a good point, IMHO.
I saw that part where Jon screamed: “F**K YOU! Mitt Romney”. (the clip) There is a strong probability that someone in the Romney clan (at least one of the sons) must have seen this piece from the Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show. I know it must have really offended them when he said those two words. It cut a little too deep. I know the opinion was meant to be somewhat satirical and humorous but the message was clear.
But do you all here know how much Mormons were voting for their beloved Brother or Saint? It was 90% at the polls! I am not surprised at the preponderance of support would be in the western (read: Mormon Republicans) influence. But it is strangely out of touch with reality when 90% vote for the man. That almost is religious bigotry. Voting only for him because he is a Mormon. Much like everyone (90%) only voting for Senator Hillary Clinton because she is a woman. That would be sexist, right? Even I know I wouldn’t necessarily vote for a guy just because he was the only gay candidate…even if he were devastatingly good-looking.
What we need is a charismatic, black, Jewish woman to run for President and have a lesbian First Lady who has a degree in economics and they both worship each week in their respective Synagogue and Episcopal church. (Have I covered all the bases?) Oh, they are parenting Costa Rican orphaned children and speak fluent French.
Just like jon Stewart’s send up of mitt romney.

I think this video is very funny and it also makes a point. Thanks!
yummy! It made me laugh out loud. I forget how much power I have as a gay man to bring about the destruction of an entire civilization.

Surely this single wasn’t supposed to be launched until the Anglican Mainstream 2008 Conference?
Well it is our responsibility to pray for our hetero counterparts that their marriage ends. BWa ha ha ha.
But seriously who thinks like that?
🙂
With the upcoming vote on a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage coming up this fall here in Florida, I would love to see this air on TV!
