At the 2007 NewFest: The 19th Annual New York Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Film Festival, the closing film will be the New York City premiere of Robert Cary’s drama Save Me, which stars Chad Allen, Robert Gant, and Judith Light. The film centers a confused, gay addict who turns to an ex-gay ministry to be cured, but finds himself drawn to another man.

As we earlier discussed, this film seems to be receiving favorable reviews and gives a balanced portrayal of not only those who seek an ex-gay ministry but also those who are part of such a ministry.
I’m going to a screening for in July at OutFest, I get inside guest passes.
I knew about this movie almost two years ago. I can hardly wait.
My friends who were in it, were telling me about what happened with it at Sundance.
I love my talented friends!!
Tim, if I can get an extra ticket…you wanna come with me?
sure. sounds fun
I saw the film on the all gay cruise onboard the Queen Mary 2 at which the film’s producers and actors from the production spoke and took questions from the audience.
Without any doubt at all the movie is outstanding and deeply moving in the portrayal of all the characters.
Judith Light’s portrayal of the Houseparent and her performance can only be described as tour de force of acting at its very finest, if she is not nominated for an Oscar for this, she should be.
I recommend this film to everyone in the Gay Community and to every person of faith as a true exposition of how love is the only real redemption any of us can have that will change for the better.
