Last weekend at a Family Research Council event — a gathering of politicians and religious power-seekers that was misnamed “Liberty Sunday” — Bishop Wellington Boone fantasized about the “rape of the civil rights movement” by people of faith who dare to affirm the equality and liberty of same-sex-attracted family members and friends.
Boone also verbally attacked Condoleeza Rice for voicing respect for a gay couple.

Last month at a misnamed Values Voters Summit where he shared the stage with Exodus lobbyist Randy Thomas, Boone advocated that Christians call same-sex-attracted persons “faggots” and “sissies.”

Mark E. Pietrzyk, who researches issues of foreign policy issues for the federal government and a researcher for the Heritage Foundation and member of the Independent Gay Forum, wrote and article entitled “Homosexuality and Child Sexual Abuse: Science, Religion, and the Slippery Slope.” In it he points out the confabulations and outright lies of the likes of the FRC’s Tony Perkins, FotF, Dobson, and others.
