Gay author/activist Wayne Besen comments on the contrived hullaballoo over Mary Cheney, the openly lesbian daughter of the vice president who formerly served as gay community liaison at Coors.
Besen says that the Cheney family and GOP Senate candidate Alan Keyes have humiliated Mary both before and after presidential candidate John Kerry reminded the public, albeit a bit rudely, of Mary’s public gay advocacy.
Gay conservatives, on the other hand, have criticized both the Bush campaign and Kerry.
