Andrew Sullivan comments on the Ontario gay marriage ruling:
Gay marriage strengthens straight marriage; and marriage will help integrate gays into society and the family more effectively than anything else could.
I agree with this, but I don’t believe marriage should be sought for social or family reasons. It should be sought simply because two people are pledged before their God to commit the rest of their lives to one another.
