Seems there’s a whole lot of white space on the Straight Talk Radio website these days. As far as Joe Brummer and I can recall, the last new episode aired was on the White House Easter egg roll. An email sent to Straight Talk Radio seeking comment on the long string of reruns was not returned.

I think I read on his blog at some point that he was going on a speaking tour? Maybe he wants to work up demand for his upcoming book. Or perhaps he is just spending too much time with Rosie, hehe.

He did mention a speaking tour, but it has yet to start, so that wouldn’t explain the lack of radio programming or the lack of updates. I have noticed that he is now blogging more since statements have been publically made about him being silent.
Is he still writing a book? (May 11, 2006) he states that the Lord is the only One who gets 24/7/365. Tons of prayer. He is trying to keep a schedule. Balance is key.
He sounds like unexpected stressors in his life really annoy him.
“He sounds like unexpected stressors in his life really annoy him.”
But really, isn’t it that way for almost everyone? I mean, I don’t like the guy’s politics and the stuff he says about gays, but we need to just let people be human at the same time…
I noted on April 4, he mentioned the opposite of a speaking tour — that his travel schedule would be limited — while he writes his first book.
He said he was delegating responsibility for some daily ministry tasks to a new personal assistant, that he expected the book to take 4 months, mentioned a publishing partner and a new website, and that the changes were being made as a response to a call from God.
It seemed logical to me that perhaps the rigors of producing a daily radio show were incompatible with directing significant time, energy, and thought into writing a book. I have seen no public statements to his radio audience, however, about taking a hiatus from developing live shows.
If I’m not mistaken (though I’m not absolutely sure on this one), links to “Become a Premium Member of StraightTalkRadio” used to be included in the left sidebar of most pages. It is still possible to find them, but those links are much less prominent.
Those two have the creepiest smiles I have ever seen.
