Bill Maier, child/family psychologist and vice president at Focus on the Family, led a special session on same-sex marriage, encouraging attendees to push for a proposed U.S. constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage.
“Satan uses the activist movement to further his goals here on earth,” he said. “If our government redefines marriage, Satan will be laughing all the way to the bank.”
Efforts to promote discrimination were reportedly not limited to marriage:
Besides “Someone I Love is Gay” and “Reaching the Homosexual” classes, Love Won Out speakers also addressed what organizers consider to be societal problems, such as the growing number of gay and lesbian television characters and the “gay agenda” to add anti-discriminatory literature or policies in schools.
The Galveston Daily News estimates that Focus on the Family raised about $45,000 in attendance fees during the one-day event.

Comment: Who knew that Satan and Focus have something in common: profiting from the spectre of SSM. Do both of their routing numbers begin with 666?
Or better yet, exchange “Satan” and “Focus” in both quotes, for some insight into what is really going on.
Mike, I think it would be a good opportunity to advertise the existence of ex-gay watch at these “Love Won Out” roadshows with picket signs (although I don’t know if that’s been done already).
…These sheep that follow these Christian Fundamentalist are so dumb — and many are poor..while Dobson collects millions….where does he live anyways? I bet it’s a mansion, with maids etc..he probably drives in limos, how dumb are his followers…..yea, this is what Jesus had in mind when preaching his love….these people are sick hypocrits!
