Is it coming to Ottawa or Montreal as well? I’d definately like to see this circus come in my town.
This guy really needs to get a life and let go of the past. No one does “aversion therapy” anymore. He needs to see a therapist to help him let go.
>No one does “aversion therapy” anymore.
This must be a joke. What does this poster believes that the mantra that one will go to hell unless one does (or doesn’t do) x, y, or z, is? Aversion therapy, pure and simple.
Interesting article, by the way. Looks like focus on some peoples’ families is trying to do market outreach to other countries.

While I agree that some, even many, of these programmes are feeding people false hopes, I’d like to see where you find “the mantra that one will go to hell unless one does (or doesn’t do) x, y, or z”.
I’m yet to see that in most of the “ex-gay”, or other similar ministries I’ve observed over the last couple of years.

Some of us are not completely stupid. What do you believe that the mantra regarding living as “gawd” wants us to, is supposed to refer to?
I’m sure that this would not be lost on you: Kissing Hank’s Ass https://www.jhuger.com/kisshank.mv
There are elections coming up soon in Canada, with one party being extremely far to the right. Focus on the Family is out in full force to help this party (I think it’s the conservative party, and they don’t even try to hide their hate from what I’ve heard). They have given them $3 million dollars and that’s probably just the beginning.
I really do worry that they will help Canada become as intolerant and gay-hating as America is.

I’d like to see Dobson lose his tax exempt status for engaging in political activities to influence a foreign government.
It will never happen under the Dumbya Republic of Jeezuz, though.

To me, there’s a very big difference between a challenge/exhortation to live differently and a threat of eternal damnation unless you get this thing in your life sorted out. The latter could rate as the most ugly perversion of the Christian message, in my opinion.

It’s nice that you hold that opinion. But I suspect that it is difficult if not impossible to deny that it does occur.
