Massachusetts Congressional Convention Considers Landmark Amendment on Marriage
Exodus representatives testified in favor of today’s amendment and are ready to respond to final vote

Orlando, FL- Alan Chambers and Randy Thomas testified before the Massachusetts Judiciary Committee on April 28th, 2003 concerning the Marriage Affirmation and Protection Amendment (MA & PA) up for consideration today in Massachusetts. Exodus calls on the Massachusetts legislature not to bow to judicial tyranny but aggressively defend marriage. Both Chambers and Thomas are available for interviews after the final vote.
The rest of the Exodus press release repeats Chambers’ and Thomas’ testimony of 10 months ago. It does not provide readers with the actual text of the MA&PA. ReligiousTolerance.org does provide the actual text, however, along with helpful analysis of the legalese. RT.org indicates that the MA&PA is worded to ban gay marriages and to limit or eradicate civil unions.
Strangely, Exodus has not posted its press release to its official web site. However, both Chambers and Thomas reposted the testimonies on their respective blogs yesterday.
