The folks at the exgaydiscussionboard frequently exhibit a bad habit.
Hobbled by addictions, absolutisms, co-dependencies, and low self-esteem, many of them failed to form healthy relationships during the years (often in their twenties) when they considered themselves gay.
Instead of taking responsibility for their own struggles or youthful immaturity, they accuse any well-adjusted and stable gay couple of being “liars” who fantasize in futility about perfect households with white picket fences.
Such namecalling and strawman argumentation makes for poor ministry. Unfortunately, it seems to be common among conservative evangelicals.
