Regina Griggs, executive director of Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays, tried to blackmail Home Depot into making a $3,000 donation to PFOX, after the retailer donated to $2,500 in gift certificates to PFOX’s gay-tolerant rival group, Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG).
It is doubtful that PFOX learned anything from this episode. Will they fire threats at the GOP next? If they do, the GOP reply will be no more favorable than Home Depot’s. See my entry, “GOP Snaps Back at Religious Right.”
