Oklahoma State Rep. Sally Kern still sees homosexuals as a greater threat to the United States than terrorists.
A new poll shows that 53% of Connecticut voters support the state supreme court’s legalization of same-sex marriage.
The Our Family Matters conference takes place next week in Nashville.
A school bus driver is charged with instigating a homophobic attack against a 10-year-old boy.
David Link reminds readers of California’s pioneering role in recognizing same-sex relationships.
That is so beyond sick about the bus driver instigating an attack against a TEN YEAR OLD BOY that words fail me. My nephew is one year older than this boy and if some SOB did that the cops had better get to him before I could.
I actually was in Connecticut the day of the ruling to visit some family and friends. Connecticut is a very liberal state (I lived there for 28 years). The Republican governor is more of a conservative Democrat. She has said she will abide by the ruling and not seek to overturn it. This ruling may give hope to the defeat of Proposition 8 in California as California is far more liberal than Connecticut. One can only hope that the need to secure civil rights for gays and lesbians will gain momentum from these types of rulings.
Emily ~ Didn’t want this article to go unnoticed by you or your readership but apparently the “reverend” Pat Robertson has done an interview with Gov. Sarah Palin where she breaks with McCain and supports a federal marriage amendment to ban gay marriage. The interview is going to air tomorrow and here’s the link where I saw it mentioned (sorry, didn’t know how else to contact you):

A.C. Thomas, we don’t generally cover the actions of political figures unless they relate specifically to ex-gay issues, and only if solid connections can be made. I have been following the election quite closely and WAS aware of that fact, but it is not significant to report here on XGW.
In the future, however, I recommend bringing potential article topics to David Roberts, who is the editor of this site.
Ok Emily, thanks for alerting me to the more limited focus of the site. Peace.
