I had a great time. Seeing Peterson again, meeting Peggy Campolo and Devena Wilson.
But every time I participate in a socio/political get together, I always come away with MORE respect, love and commitment to the gay community.
What the gay unfriendly straight folks are missing…
The smallest act of forthright respect, if not kindness towards the gay community, comes back a thousandfold.
This is not to be abused, as it has through politicians and people who would write legislation to reflect this abuse.
The things ordinary folk can do, will have tremendous return.
I’ve learned this, years ago as a young person when my middle and high school friends were coming out.
Momma and I have plans ahead already…now THAT’S what I’m talkin’ about!
