You wouldn’t know it from the religious-right media but today is National HIV Testing Day. News sites which ignore this include:
FreeRepublic
Townhall
Family News In Focus
WorldNetDailyAnd don’t count on the Agapepress to include it when they publish this afternoon.
MSNBC has a great article about the editor of POZ, a heterosexual woman who contracted HIV through serial monogamy. If XGW readers find more religious-right news sites ignoring National HIV Testing Day, feel free to mention it in a comment and I’ll update my list.
To quote Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer:
“And you’re what? Shocked and disapointed? I’m evil.”
Kay Warren (wife of purpose driven Rick Warren) did write an opinion piece on 6/23 for the Baptist Standard which was a call for compassion. She didn’t mention that today is national HIV testing day.

Her examples of those needing compassion both consisted of heterosexuals but that may have more to do with knowing your audience than with callousness.
Disappointingly, I saw no other religious publication that mentioned national HIV testing day other than The Christian Post:
