It’s about time somebody does a protest with this concept. Of course I have to question how difficult the stickers are to remove since if I were a legislator I might be inclined to vote against a group that vandalizes my statehouse. Forgive my lameness:
The stickers were easily removed, and were up only a short time.

And Nigeria!
Can’t say I blame them. When a basic, fundamental right, such as marriage or the care of one’s children is taken away-then you can count on OTHER protections easily being removed for gays and lesbians.
Because marriage and family (as conservatives say) is THE most important freedom, as evidenced by ANY knuckleheaded hetero being able to do it, this is the institution through which so much else flows.
Homosexuals ARE being made exceptions to the protections and access of the Constitution or Bill of Rights.
1. First Amendment: No expressions of one’s orientation or literature that explains or reports on gay people. No textbooks, instruction or information on gay orientation or sexuality.
Especially in schools.
2. Free association: no assembly of gay/straight alliances, nor any gay supportive club or class.
3. No access of courts to address grievances: the marriage, hate crimes laws or anti discrimination legislation bans extending to no option to litigate for equal treatment.
4. Freedom of religion: religious institutions have option to ban gay men and women from their churches or legal address of grievances. Only on condition of renouncing or rejecting homosexual behavior and sex.
5. Freedom to marry, adopt or bear children: There is no law that requires adults care for children. Nor any law that bans any adult from having children, regardless of physical, mental or social condition.
There is no law that keeps adults from pursuing their chosen duty to significant other and children.
The exception being gay men and women.
The slippery slope would ALWAYS be to choose to exclude gay men and women from those precious documents. Worse because whatever they pursue isn’t at the expense of what straight people do.
And that, is the clear and ethical answer to how the laws and courts are to deal with gay citizens.
Oops, on #5, that’s supposed to say: there is no law that requires unhealthy or suspected incompetent adults to never care for children.
And the full faith and credit clause of the Constitution on marriage or formal contracts requires states to recognize legal marriage and documents.
So the DOMA excludes gay couples married in MA.
What a friggin mess!
“The stickers were easily removed, and were up only a short time.”
In other words, the gay activists were classy and made their point without damage or harm. Unlike the anti-gay activists who seek to harm and damage the lives, freedoms, and happiness of gays.
I wonder how many people saw them and thought “About damn time!”
Martin Luther king would have loved this “Direct Action” of non-violence. I admire those who took this on in their lives. To risk arrest and a record to make a point to others that we have been down this road before and it was wrong then and is wrong now. Awesome. Great Stuff. I wish more people would engage in such non-violent, but thought prevoking actions.
Below is a blog commentary/response to the initial post of this thread.–Autumn–A Lesson in Victimhood from Your Neighborhood Gay Activist posted by Stacy L. HarpBlogger News NetworkWednesday, March 08, 2006The homosexual activists are at it again, playing their fake victimhood card. By the way, this is just one of the tactics outlined in Kirk & Madsen’s book After the Ball: How America Will Conquer It’s Fear & Hatred of Gays in the 90’s.I have this nifty little homosexual manifesto right next to my Bible. I heard it said that Christians should read the paper next to the Bible everyday so they know what each side is up to. Well, I read not only the papers, but also this little homosexual manifesto. Which incidentally you can buy online anytime, lest you think I’m making this up.The following story is linked on Ex-Gay Watch (of course), and it’s a perfect example of the victimhood phoney civil rights card the MGA (militant gay activists) like to play.
