Yet another media request. Feel free to respond if you’re able to help this guy out.
I’ll be writing a feature article for a British Christian magazine about homosexual (but not pro-gay) and ‘ex-gay’ ministries in the UK. I’d love to talk to anyone who has had any experience of this kind of thing in the UK, whether positive or negative. I’m trying to get a broad overview of conservative ministries to gays in the UK, especially in comparison to ex-gay ministries in the US.
If you can help, or know of anyone who can help, drop a comment underneath or email me.

Hi Dave,You may also want to contact Jeremy Marks at Courage U.K. (nothing to do with the Vatican-approved group)Although still (it seems) holding a personal religious view, Marks has rejected (and been ejected from) Exodus etc.
FYI comments left here are not emailed to Dave. He should be emailed directly at the address given.
No probs Dan — I assumed Dave may be reading here.
A Muslim ex-gay ministery called the Straightway Foundation runs in the UK

That muslim site looks dead. Hopefully it’s a sign that they’ve been deported for abusing their stay.
“That muslim site looks dead.”
No, they’re very much active – just bad at keeping their website up-to-date. Only a few months ago they wrote a letter to the Mayor of London supporting his stance on welcoming a hopmophobic cleric, and they’ve been quoted in the UK media recently. In fact, I read an article somewhere quite recently where the journalist included them in an article on “gay Muslim groups”. (Of course there is a genuine gay Muslim group in the UK – Imaan, but Straightway certainly isn’t.)
“Hopefully it’s a sign that they’ve been deported for abusing their stay.”
While there is a very, very, small groups of clerics whose radical funadamentalist agenda may cause them to be deported (though it is unlikely this would be for homophobia alone) just like the majority of Christian bigots are British citizines, so are their Muslim counterparts. It is wrong – and, in my view prejudiced – to automaticaly think of ‘deportation’ when investigating non-Christian (non-white?) religious groups. We can’t fight bigotry with bigotry.
