Has anyone read the new brit book: Born Gay
https://education.guardian.co.uk/higher/research/workinprogress/story/0,11109,1531078,00.html
It seems to be a compilation of all the various scientific studies. I just don’t know yet if it is credible or if it is just a champion of the position.
Tim, just to let you know, I haven’t read the book, and I have better things to read. I was born me. I have never, ever, understood the problemmos that people have had with same-sex attractedness, except possibly for the potential problem of finding a partner who they might want to live with.
I was born me. I have always believed that, and I always will.
raj,
I’m very happy for you that you are you and have better things to read.
However, I don’t know if I have better things to read or not. I have an interest in what causes (for want of a better word) one’s orientation to go one way or the other and wondered if this book has anything to contribute.
I was hoping, since it deals with a subject that comes up quite frequently on this site and which is one of the primary focuses (foci?) of the ex-gay movement, someone had read it.
If you have no interest in the subject matter, fine with me. Don’t read it. I understand the new Harry Potter book is good and we can all use some light-hearted summer reading.
