The National Public Radio program On Point will discuss Love In Action and “conversion therapy” for a full hour tonight — 7 p.m. Eastern time.
On Point’s schedule lists local NPR stations that carry the program, as well as local air times.
For those who miss the show: The On Point web site also archives its programs — or portions of them.
For those who have been following the CNN segments on Love In Action, Crooks and Liars have a video clip of Thursday night’s Paula Zahn show, which reported on it a second time:

In my view it was an improvement of CNN’s previous reporting on this, though they still gave the vast majority of their time to ex-gay advocates and relatively little to their critics. Still, at least wasn’t a pushover in the interview.
Just to let you know, On Point is produced by Boston University’s WBUR and has proven to be very “right wing” over the years.
It is merely syndicated by NPR.

You ARE kidding, right?
Jeesh, let’s not get soi paranoid that we see ‘right wingers’ everywhere….

No, I am not kidding. I live in a western suburb of Boston and used to listen to them regularly
Whenever they have a gay themed program on The Connection or On Point, they have someone from the FRC or Focus on. Or more than one. It’s like if they would have a program about Negroes–and I use that term intentionally–they would feel it necessary to have someone from the KKK on for balance.
Two, they caved to CAMERA, a right-wing Jewish operation.
Three, any gay coverage that they do from NPR seems to be from Juan Williams, who is also a Faux News commentator. He is clearly a homophobe. I noted that years ago when I watched a segment on the Fox News Sunday program.
The idea that WBUR or NPR are liberal is nonsense.
All I know is that the things I have learned after spending 6 months at Love in Action have saved my life. I would not trade the experience for the world. I choose to live a God honoring life no matter what my “feelings” are telling me. Scrpiture is very clear on what it says about this issue. Are my attractions gone? No, but I know that I can choose righteousness over lust. That’s what I do everyday. It is not easy, in fact it’s the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life. I did not choose to have the attractions or desires, but I can choose what I am going to do with them. To me and my faith, it is worth it. The pain is worth the reward. Take it as you will… I know that my life counts.
So… basically what you are saying, Jeremy, is that your experience with LIA did not make you into a heterosexual.
You are a man oriented towards men that chooses not to engage in sex.
And that is just fine with me, and probably everyone else here. Good luck with it, if that’s what brings you peace.
Personally, I think you’d be happier with an understanding of God as Creator, rather than Judge. But I’m not going to try to shove my theology down your throat or make you live by my religious beliefs.
And sure, your life counts. As does mine, so kindly don’t try to do anything with it – like try to limit my rights.
I have no objection, whatsoever, to people chosing celibacy. What I object to is when an organization claims that “you can change” without explaining that the “change” is not from homosexual to heterosexual, but rather from homosexual to celibate homosexual.
So I wish you all the best. And feel free to comment here if you wish. Some people may attack you (that happens, what can you do) but I hope most will treat you with courtesy. We try to encourage a supportive non-hostile space.
