Exgay mother Lisa Miller-Jenkins, who fled her Vermont civil union and took her daughter to the antigay state of Virginia, again refused to comply with her former partner’s Vermont court-ordered visitation, paving the way for a large fine or incarceration, according to The Washington Blade.
Frederick County, Va., Circuit Court Judge John R. Prosser thwarted Vermont law, and Joseph Price, president of Equality Virginia and attorney to Lisa’s former partner Janet Miller-Jenkins, is confident a contempt-of-court order against Lisa will be enforced.
Update, Sept. 29: A Virginia county court continues to violate Vermont family court orders on behalf of Lisa, according to The Winchester Star and 365gay.com.
