Numerous culture warriors in July pointed to Sweden’s enforcement of laws against antigay defamation as proof that all gay activists are intolerant of antigay Christians. (Google search of news articles and rants.)
Exodus spokesman Randy Thomas was quick to judge gay activists in general, citing WorldNetDaily as his sole source.
Bad idea.
Gay-spirituality columnist Joe Perez was more resourceful. Initially he condemned Sweden’s alleged intolerance for antigay sermonizing, but he went a step further: He wrote to the Swedish gay activist group. The group replied, and on July 19 Perez posted a fuller version of the story — deflating some (but not all) of the culture warriors’ reason for outrage.
Um, that should be WorldNutDaily.
Good lord – find a cause worthwhile, such as feeding the poor or perhaps donating to people with real problems, such as those recently hit by the tsunami. Being anti-gay is a complete waste of energy – get over it – God DID make them that way – homosexuals sometimes commit suicide rather than “come out” – it’s not a choice. Get with the times, or are you still against blacks and women too?
NWI,
I think you are essentially right — antigay prejudice and discrimination are a waste of time — and faith.
No, God did NOT make them that way. It is a choice that they made. God made it so that marriage was supposed to be between one MAN and one WOMAN. In the Bible, God says that it is a sin to be homosexual and they WILL NOT enter into the kingdom of heaven!!!! It is considered an abomination agaisnt God.
So was interracial marriage, but eventually God seemed to get over it. It’s okay, we’ll give God time to catch up with the rest of us.

I think I understand your sentiment here but I would like to suggest that it is not God who needs to catch up, but those who misinterpret Scripture for their own aims, along with those who are simply misguided. To CI I can only say that I hope one day God will be able to persuade you of the truth. Until then, please concentrate on your own life and leave others alone.
