Exodus spokesman Randy Thomas responded June 3 to news that former Exodus ministry leader Jeremy Marks is giving speeches with the gay-affirming group Evangelicals Concerned, criticizing “reparative therapy” and encouraging gay Christians to find a more secure path to faith in Christ.
While I disagree with Thomas’ observations of certain ex-gay therapies (I believe non-professional counselors are problematic for the ex-gay movement), for once I feel believe Thomas’s response is rational, methodical and respectful.
Thank you, Randy.
I also applaud Randy’s effort to link to both sides of the debate between conservatives Robert Knight and David Horowitz. Readers can judge for themselves which individual’s approach is more agreeable.
