As many have noticed, we had to turn off the ability to comment on posts for the past few days. This was necessary to reduce our exposure during a Denial of Service attack. We have others investigating the source of this attack but in the mean time we have migrated to servers more able to handle the situation should it happen again.
You may now comment, though we have made a couple of changes to reduce the load. The comment preview has been removed, and a security code plugin added. This should be self-explanatory but if you have any trouble posting comments, please let us know.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Glad the comments are back. I rarely post, but I do enjoy reading.
OMG! You’re back! Is thing on?
Glad to see comments are up & running again… Like Darren, I rarely comment these days, but still frequent this site almost every day. Do keep up the good work and God Bless!!!
Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, it appears there are some who would rather we not have our say, enough so that they apparently tried pretty hard to take us offline.
Hope you’ll release the results of the DoS attack. That might be very interesting.
Glad to se Ex-Gay Watch back in its entirety.
Might I comment on the new posting system?
Ok, I will! I miss the PREVIEW functionality of the old system. It certainly made using HTML tags less daunting if you screwed them up and forgot to close them!
Just FYI folks, I don’t think the intent of the attack is political or religious. Any Movable Type-based website with a Google PageRank of 6 or higher gets hit with attacks such as these.
As for the preview option, we’re working on it…
