The Queer Action Coalition of Memphis, Tenn., plans a June 5 vigil at Love In Action, marking one year since LIA’s involuntary detainment of sexually struggling youths made headlines.
The scandal severely curtailed LIA’s activities, but the antigay organization appears to have received a fresh injection of cash because — as the coalition reports — LIA recently expanded its recruitment of antigay and troubled youths. LIA uses the language of war — “ammunition” and “battle” — and positions struggling youths as pawns in a culture war. Visit the QAC website for details.

I read the Refuge flier General Package that was linked to on the Queer Action Coalition webpage. When one realizes the targets of the war are young people — well, it’s pretty scary reading.
But at least they don’t have a MySpace anymore. I’m perfectly fine with that.
Hey! I think these ex-gay therapies should be banned. Their track record is dubious at best. If they were a drug they couldn’t pass FDA scrutiny. If you go to my myspace.com blog at https://blog.myspace.com/55272500 then you will see what I offer as a compromise between an outright ban of these unethical and inefficascious therapies for blue eyes — I mean lefthandedness — I mean HOME-OH-SEX-YOU-ALLS (one of those things that aren’t a mental disorder) and leaving them in place as is.
